playing backups with a qoob sx modchip

i recently ordered a qoob modchip and was looking forward to playing backups with it once it arived, but i just read on the qoob website that the bios for the qoob chips does not support playing backups. i was wandering if anyone knew of a bios for the qoob sx that supports playing backups and still gives you the features that the original bios does

 

Again someone who never read the existing posts. U CAN PLAY THEM WITH THE NEW BIOS!

 

i found that out once i posted this thread. but now i have another question. what is can you use memorex cd-r's for backup playing or does it HAVE to be a certain kind. i know that they recomend a certain type but i can't find it anywhere around here.

 

You can't use CD-Rs with GC, only DVD+R/DVD-R.

Ritek, Verbatim, Fujifilm, and Maxell all seem to work well.

Unless you have a Panasonic Q, then no you can't watch DVD movies on it. GameCubes can only read GC format DVDs.

The GC isn't designed to read CD at all, only DVD.
