I captured an hours worth of tape from my video camera using roxio 8. its an 12GB video clip file. im using vlc and it still wouldnt play...it just sits there...not playing. when i right click on the file, my computer screen goes black for about two seconds. any ideas?
your computer probably isn't playing it very well since it is so big. If you captured a 1 hour show, and it is ~12GB, then I assume it captured in DV AVI format. use your video editing software to convert the video to a smaller mpeg file, which your computer will be able to handle playing easier.
