i was reading one question about not being able to play divx torrents on vista, i have had no problem downloading on vista with anything actually, i did download some codecs that are missing, and got movies to play, then i found advanced vista codec package 4.56(i believe - if not its close(the numbers that is), only thing is it asked me to remove any codec i installed, since i installed this codec package, i have had no problem running any torrent other then rar files torrents(after converting them they ran fine. im new at vista as well, but i keep searching to fine answers to problems, or i pull out my hair if i cant, but i keep trying, so i hope this info helped any new vista owners regarding divx, and for downloading i use azureus vuze, so far all is well, i also learned a trick that might work also for sppeding up downloads, turner your router off for a few minutes then turn it back on, works great for me. good luck to vista-ers(haha) as far as user friendly(vista that is), i don't think so, but then i went thru issues with xp in beginning, so back to the drawing board, i guess eventually, it will be ok. keep trying archer57
What I did for Vista was installed "K-LiteMegaCodecPack". After that I havent found a video format that hasnt worked yet. Its an excellent codec package , with support for .rm and .nsv files Cheers!
