Easy no modding needed all you need is a Micro Sd Card and a R4ds. What you get in the R4 is a Ds game cartage with a micro sd USB adaptor then basically all you do is download a Ds game and drag and drop it into the Micro Sd card. Then put the micro sd card into the slot on the game cartage that comes with the R4 and then you play the games you just put on the card.

Ok. I've not ventured far into the ROM thing. Well, not at all. We use our R4 basically for Moonshell and dpg's and mp3's. And love it.

I look over at frozen roms or where ever
    (http://frozen-roms.in/?item=7734 is an example)
and I see files that are 40+ MB. How in the he** do I fit that on a 1 GB micro card?

    if a rom is 40mb then a 1gb card (1000mb) can fit approx 25 roms (1000/40=25)
i think you are getting your MB's and GB's confuddled :)

Confuddled is an absolutely lovely word. I shall use it often.

I think you are correct. I was looking at it and thinking "No way!" but I think I wasn't thinking about it right.

I still think in terms of 1.4 meg 3.5" floppy disks and how long downloads take under dial up. 1 GB of storage that is smaller than my fingernail and BitTorrent downloads of 80GB in 1 1/2 hours is still pretty amazing stuff as far as I am concerned.
