I was told before I bought my Wii that DVD's could play on it. Now I find they can't but you can get some plug in module to allow it to happen. Can anyone let me know if this is true and if so where I can buy one or is there any other way of getting around it?
Using DVDx the Wii CAN play DVDs. It even plays my backups burnt onto the shittiest/cheapest media I can find. I'm assuming you're somewhat new to this so read some of the stickies posted. If you don't already have it you'll need to install the Homebrew Channel, which allows you to install DVDx and do MANY MANY other amazing things with your wii. Read up, this site has a lot of good info.
