hey, i have a mpeg, i use nero vision express to burn the mpeg ( it reencodes it automatically) so it burns on a cd-r as a vcd, but it doesn't play on every dvd player only some that plays vcd's, which is kinda not working for me, i need it to work on every dvd player, the file is like 122 MB's, is there a special software or some way i can convert the movie file or burn the movie file as a dvd format, so that any dvd player can pick it up and play it? by the way im trying to do ll this on a cd-r, i don';t have a dvd burner, so i have to burn it to a cd-r

    thanks

It all depends on the dvd player specs. Some may not play vcds and nothing you do will change that. Just like some old dvd players will only play -R dvds. You can't change the way the unit is manufactured.

A blank dvd holds 4.36 gig of data. A blank CD only about 700 meg of data. A dual layer dvd is over 8 gig of data. I would just save up for a dvd burner. I see them less than $40. on sale at times.
