I hope I've picked the right area to post this, not sure where it would fit best. I have used many different programs over the years to rip my favorite movies from my collection to my main computer's HD so they are instantly accessible without messing with the actual disks. Right now I'm using dvd decrypter in file mode and then auto gordian knot to convert them to avi and for almost every movie that works fine. But when the new Star Trek came out I was unable to rip it for a few weeks and now that I have, every time I try to convert it with AGK the audio does not match the video. I'm thinking now that maybe I should have been creating ISOs for the disks and using a virtual drive to play them because it seems that that would give me the full functionality of the dvds without messing with the actual physical copies. Too be more succinct, I have been very successful with my endeavor over the years but am now second guessing my method. I love high quality video and audio but am unwilling to move my disks from room to room every-time I want to play them. I'd love any and all suggestions or recommendations.
Isn't the iso just the video_ts folder turned into a disk image? If that's true, then the iso can be created any time, using IMGBURN, for example. Seems like six of one, half a dozen of the other to me.
