playing hdtv-lol files

    i have had a couple of these files in the last few months and havnt been able to play them. however there is now a file i really want to watch so want to sort this problem out. i have the latest divx and xvid as well as ffdshow, however, in windows media player or real player it doesnt play at all! no sound or video, saying it needs a codec. please help.

    Well the Xvid Codec is the one you want, I can not be sure which one you are using but I highly suggest you download G-spot which is codec information appliance. When you use this, you can select a file (such as the hdtv-lol) that you are trying to open and it will give you codec information required to play the file as well as what codecs you have installed. You can then test compatibility with your codecs installed to see if the file will play properly.
