i have had a couple of these files in the last few months and havnt been able to play them. however there is now a file i really want to watch so want to sort this problem out. i have the latest divx and xvid as well as ffdshow, however, in windows media player or real player it doesnt play at all! no sound or video, saying it needs a codec. please help.
Well the Xvid Codec is the one you want, I can not be sure which one you are using but I highly suggest you download G-spot which is codec information appliance. When you use this, you can select a file (such as the hdtv-lol) that you are trying to open and it will give you codec information required to play the file as well as what codecs you have installed.
