    Hello,

I apologize if this has been asked in the past but I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to play a dpg movie file on this thing. I have loaded my movies into a separate folder called "MOVIES" and I can see them when I scroll through the card on the M3 menu but I can't seem to figure out how to play them. I select the media icon and then scroll to my file but then nothing happens and no other icon seems to exists that I can simply select to play the movie (double clicking on the file does nothing as well)

Any help or link to a previous thread would be appreciated. Thank you.

to play movies on your ds you need to have moonshell installed.you open this and then navigate to which file you want to watch.
a guide for moonshell can be found at http://www.ds-xtra.com/MoonShell

Well I'm not sure what I am doing wrong but I have tried several things and I still can't get my dpg movie file to play.
First I tried to copy the MOONSHL and .nds file to the root of my card and no luck. Then I re-formatted and flashed it to my card using the tools file, the one where you go through the setup and it loads the moonshl folder and .nds file onto your H, and still no luck with that option either.

Any thoughts as to what I'm doing wrong. thanks.

Cancel that, I think I figured this out. You must actually run the .nds file in order to activate the moonshell menu and then you navigate to your movie file and watch the movie. Just need to figure out how to stop or exit moonshell without turing off the DS lite, it seems to be very sensitive to that. Whenever I do, even if it is a game, I have problems rebooting it the next time, keeps hanging on the Loading... scren.
