Playing non-DVD format on Television

    I just bought a brand new Plextor DVD+/- RW drive, and I just wanted to know if any of you brilliants out there know a way to play movies that aren't DVD format on a television, vice converting the entire encoding (i.e. AVI to DVD) and then re-burning it to DVD. Thanks in advance.

    if you want to go free apps route use...

    divxToDvd to convert from avi to vob/ifo/bup

    load to dvd shrink hit backup button and set it to output to dvd decrypter to burn!
