I downloaded a movie, used TMPGEnc to encode it and burned it with Nero. I have a "JVC XV-501BK" DVD player which says that it will play VCDs. I have burned a few VCDs using different programs but when I put any of them in the DVD player it makes a ticking noise and ejects the VCD. I am using CDR disks. The instruction manual dosen't say anything about burned VCDs. Should I try CDRW disks? Or does my DVD player just not play burned VCDs. Has any one else had this problem? Any advice is appreciated.
1) Post in the correct forum, this doesn't have absolutely anything to do with CD-R issues. 2) Visit this page: http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers.php 3) Read this: http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/nero_videocd_guide.cfm
i haven't had the same problem, but when i put my VCD's in, it says it cannot read the format and tells me to put in another disk.
Try to burn to a CDRW some DVD player canĀ“t play CDR. I have a Sony DVD player and CDRW plays well but not CDR. I have found some CDR that plays fine like Pengo dark green.
