just upgraded this afternoon and not one horror story yet.gonna play with it for a few days and see what happens.still have my win7 on my other hdd for a clone if need be.
already had to reload win7 on a customer's laptop after he upgraded to win10 the day after it came out, he screwed it up then spilt water on the keyboard, all on the same day as he dropped it off at my place to fix it. after doing the win7 updates, I uninstall the win10 file & hid it so this won't happen again.
QUOTE GrandpaBW LOL! Tell us how you really feel about Windows 10. I LIKE WINDOWS 10 SO MUCH I REVERTED BACK MY WINDOWS 7 IMAGE TO JULY 2014 AND BLOCKED ALL WINDOWS UPDATES SO I CAN SELECT WHAT I WANT TO INSTALL HINT-YOU WILL BE COME PART OF THE CLOUD I DO NOT WANT WINDOWS 10--PERIOD
I am in agreement with ireland, It's a death march to Big Brother taking over your privacy rights... I can still use XP or 7 and block everything coming in or going out..... I monitor everything in and out with a behavior blocker and hips on steroids!!!!!
well, ive not had to pee on the electric fence for some time now so.........hardest thing i had to do was turn off windows defender.to be truthful i see very little difference between win10 and win7.if big brother thinks im interesting enough to look in on he will be sorely disappointed.lol

Windows 7 and 8 Spying On You Too? Sep 01 2015 Ars Technica – Microsoft accused of adding spy features to Windows 7, 8 TweakHound, says this: By now we are all aware that by default Win10 sends a lot of info to Microsoft. Folks have found Windows 7 & 8 are doing it too. Well, kinda. Let me explain. Microsoft added 2 updates that collect more info. 1 – KB3022345 superseded by KB3068708 superseded by KB3080149 adds the Diagnostics Tracking Service. 2 – KB3075249 seems to monitor UAC prompts (hopefully to make it less annoying) See full article here:
didnt get as far as install.i have my updates set to never check.i then check manually.ok as long as you remember to check once or twice a year.lol
I have mine set to notify me there are updates available but not to install. those 2 files where in my optional updates so I hid them.
You are a man of my own heart... I just knew you were smarter than the average bear! Here's one for you: use Ccleaner and check User Assist History in the Advanced, then schedule a task to run Ccleaner starting about 6am and repeat every 15 minutes through out the day.... Also use Disconnect and Self Destructing Cookies.. I also use Anonymox to put me somewhere else. HoHo
