I'm kind of on a budget, and don't really want to get a mod chip and a new hard drive, as it will void my warranty for one, and like I said, i'd like to be able to afford food for the next little while.

I'm just wondering if there's a software mod that would allow you to play games off my computer HD, instead of getting a modchip and a new HD.

I'm sure people are going to ask, so here's the breakdown on how i'm running my xbox currently. I don't actually own a TV, and instead have the adaptec gamebridge, and am running my xbox through my computer, which I think is awesome, since I didn't have to buy a TV, amazing resolution, and the benefits of my 7.1 speaker system.

So I figure, since i'm pretty much attached to my computer anyway, just wondering if there is a way to avoid a modchip, and just play through over my network.

Thanks for putting up with the redundancy
