Pleading for help

    Good evening. I joined a news group a few months ago i started downloading shows and movies but of late when i try to convert the movies show fine on the computer but when i put it on dvd they will not play on a stand alone dvd player my brother told me it could be a codec problem but i have no idea i have used various programs to try and convert and then burn then it would say burn successful and when im done and try and play it it would say incorrect disc please asking for help almost im running out of blanks. lol thank u

    what format are the dl'd movies in ?
