no chips need =)) just custom firmware. Use 3.71 M33-3 most games for psp and ps1 emulated games works with no bugs. go to www.psp-hacks.com and go to the download sections to download the custom firmware(readme in the file to explain how to install it) if u need to downgrade ur psp jus use a psp downgrader
