I have a new psp 3000 first thing I did was

    step
    1. I upgraded the firmware to OFW 5.03 (US)
    2. then I installed ChickHEN R2
    3. then installed Custom Firmware 5.03GEN-A

I put a God of war the game in the ISO folder that is located in the GAME folder. When I put unrar the unRAR the RAR file of GoW I get one folder named psn-gow inside of it theres a a bin file called UMD_DATA the other file is a folder called PSP_GAME and within it is the games files. How are games suppose to be setup and where on the UMD stick ? anyway as of where it's right now the psp is telling me that it's currupt.

Anyway am I missing something in one of my 3 steps above ? I'm not having problems installing Custom Firmware 5.03GEN-A so thats why I didn't in use Custom Firmware Enabler. Am I suppose set the UMD mode to read ISO's ? and I don't if I'm suppose to use 5.00 M33 either with either method. I don't know anymore I've been at this for 4 hours. thanks

If I should using Custom Firmware Enabler let me know. I did try it once and it seemed not to work but I didn't try that method for very long ?

The firmware will only play .iso or .cso files.

It sounds as if someone has split the game and the .rar(ed) it

Get UMDGen 4.0 (use google to find) add all the parts and see if it can re assemble (in the top click save as - choose .cso or .iso and see if it works) If not then try another file

I had ISO associated with RAR, It's all working now.

The only thing is now I have to keep a reall UMD game in the PSP or I'll get a error and game can't start. I have a new PSP and I tried the hold the right button while powering and down but I still can't access the recovery mode where I guess you change option 5 (no umd or something like that). But that mode might not be acessable on the newest psp, I don't know. Another guy somewhere said that no umd mode won't work with every game. thanks though
