Hi Before we begin, you'll need to put HijackThis.exe in a folder of its own for it to function properly. Right click on an empty space on the desktop and go New>Folder to create a new folder. Name it HijackThis. Drag and drop HijackThis.exe in that folder. Disable Spywareguard as it will interfere with any fixes we make. Disable Spywareguard by doing the following: Right click the running icon of Spywareguard in the system tray to open the program. Then go to Menu, File, and choose Exit. It will automatically restart at next boot. Download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop. * Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts. * When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall
@meselwin I apologize I meant to reply to your thread days ago but school has been hectic. I would like to point out you can have this site analyze your HijackThis file and tell you what to fix. It's not as good as having someone read it but it sure is a time saver.
HijackThis analyzators like this should never be trusted! Eg. that one makes terrible mistakes and you could end up removing something legit.
Their is nothing seriously wrong with using that analyzer for rudimentary checking. I even say that nothing is as good as having someone read it for you.
Sorry I did not reply a "friend" thought he could fix it Result a reformat of c drive and reinstall of windows At least the virus has gone
At least it's gone right? I recommend looking on AD for the Security Guide by rav009 you should read it. It is a great help.
