I have been checking the board out for a few days... very nice. I am getting ready to build a new system for gaming and video editing.
I am still learning about capture devices so I will be posting in another forum for that. As a system does this setup look ok? Any changes you would suggest? I will be ordering June 10th.

nice parts!! look lite-on is not to good i had many of them! try a plextor or lg,cyberdrive etc...

ddp is right as always ;)
6800gt is a power hungry beast so be sure to get and bigger or sli tech certified psu!.

for the hard drives if i were you i think the best is the raptor 73gb for running winxp and games, programs and a bigger hardd like 200 or 300gb sata for saving all that edited videos and games wich i think editing take a lot of storage!

Both of you mentioned the PSU the one I have listed is one that was tested on this Mobo running SLI GeForce Ultra's here. http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2005/05/21/nvidia_sli_pt5/1.html

Here is more on the PCU - OCZ OCZ520ADJ ATX 520W Power Supply
    Model #: OCZ520ADJ
    $130.00 http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16817104152

    Further thoughts on this please!!

Yes, the thought is to install Windows and programs on the 10,000 RPM disk and use the 7,200 disk for files, video's, and other.

Thanks for the feedback so far!!!
