I have 2 questions...

1. I recently got a PAL Wii and updated it with an "official" Super Mario Galaxy game. Would it be ok if i got a Wiikey installed in my PAL Wii with this firmware update installed??

2. Do i have to install Wiikey firmware version 1.9g if i have an official Super Mario Galaxy game???

Well I really want to buy a Jap game that I like and doesn't require much translation to play with! I was thinking of the Wii Fit but since it would be in Japanese that would mean I can't read it and thats $150 USD sorta wasted!

 

I don't know the firmware for metroid 3. I think it is less than ver 3.0. If so, you can use japanese SMG because it has 3.0J. Somebody help what firmware is Metroid 3

 

Can someone please confirm this for me so I don't brick by mistake:

If I have latest 3.1J firmware in my Wii-J, and I play Metroid 3 ntsc/u and it asks to update, I can safely say 'yes' and it will skip actual update because I have latest firmware?

Or, will it update anyway and I will end up with bricked wii?

Some games will not play if first patched with Brick Blocker (such as Wii Degree and Metroid Prime 3)

In theory, it shouldn't brick your Wii, however I haven't tried myself

 

guys by what i have seen in the lasts posts, Wii Fit Jap has 3.1 firmware, therefore it should unbrick my wii, wich was semi bricked by guitar hero III. Can u guys confirm that to me???
I mean does Guitar Hero II uses 3.0 firmware or 3.1???

ok om thx guys, but i have one last question. Since my wii is modded with wiikey, is it possible that the wii fit update reconize my wii as modded and brick it totally. Where I live a wii is very very hard to get so i really fear the total brick

i have just updated my chipped pal wii with smg pal version. update went through ok, then it came up with an error message, oh bugger i thought. quickly ejected the game and tried another game which still worked. should i try smg again or could it brick my wii. please help

 

Does your wii have the D2ckey chip ?
I have this chip & updated with the SMG game and all went perfect.

I would try it again, it won't do any harm.

Guys please help in this question, my wii was semi bricked by guitar hero 3. And since I believe that wii fit will unbrick it, i let metroid corruption and mario party 8 updates run. I though there would be no problem since wii fit update will replace it all.

Can u guys tell me if this will do any harm, I mean wii fit will still be able to fix it right (since its firmware is superior). Please take me out of despair

hi im new to the forum , just looking for advice gto a wii with D2CKEY fitted and firmware 3.1 , console was goin fine put a backed up game in and the wii just went to a black screen ? and wouldnt turn off had to pull the power cable out switched it back on, took the disc out and tryed wii sports on it and got a blue screen saying it couldnt read the disc restared the wii and it went ok then when i tryed to play 1 of the other sports games on the disc it went to a black sceen sayin and error had occured please turn off the wii and look up the manual ? so turned it off and it all seems ok again ? i run wii brickblocker on all my games , any ideas what causes this isit the chip or just a common fault with the wii?

 

i have a pal wii with wiikey installed and have updated it using SMG but i have just downloaded links crossbow training usa and its wanting to update my wii?? shall i let it update as it says on the screen now " if your wii console has an unauthorized technical modification, this upgrade could cause inoperability of your console". does anyone know if this update is ok with wiikey?? many thanks

 

dont know dude..... my problem is that I am thinking of using medal of honor heroes 2 (USA) version and playing it on my wii (pal) has anyone been semi bricked or anything?? if yes i will wait til pal version is out... thanks.... anyone????

I semi bricked my wii with SMG prob PAL I have a NTSC.
B4 researching enough I tried to unbrick it with wii fit. of course that didn't work. I then tried link crossbow training US version. it updated and that didn't work either anyone have any suggestions on what to try next?
