Just follow the steps in the guide over again (start at Installing WiiGator Backup Launcher 0.3 gamma).

The cIOS36_rev8 will be installed over the older cIOS I had.

I don't have a dol Backup launcher file anymore in the pack. Just install the wad Backup launcher channel I have included.

If you don't want to install the channel and want to stick with the dol file then just use the dol file you previously used. It should boot the game without the #002 error since you have updated to cIOS36_rev8 which patches the #002 error.

I followed the steps for gamecube support. i can get one game TLOZ wind waker to work, but all other gamecube games get either a disk error and the screen locks up and becomes green.

I have tried using both the backup loader WAD channel and going through the homebrew channel backup loader. both are doing the same thing.

    any fix for this?

I have updated the guide once again. This update includes cIOS36_rev9 and USB Loader.

Okay so if we are not supposed to upgrade to the newest version, why does the guide say to? It didn't say upgrade to 3.4, it said the newest version, which is 4.0 now, and as of a couple weeks ago when I was told this. So am I screwed now that I upgraded to 4.0? I can still run my original wads installed on the channels from the wad manager, but now nothing new will install on the wad manager, so I can't install any fix files. I read the thread on here, which said nothing about what to do if you upgraded and you don't have the ios8rev. Please point me in the right direction

The fix guide does say to install to newest firmware. I have no control over that guide. All I can do is place a warning saying not to update to latest 4.0 firmware untill you have installed the cIOS. Which if you had read the complete guide first before doing any of it you would have seen the warning for 4.0 firmware that states already to make sure you have cIOS36_rev9 installed.

    Just for info

I had rev 8 THEN upgraded to 4.0 - and wads install and uninstall PLUS can be transferred and run off the sd.

Im unsure what rev 9 does - is there a point to install rev 9?

Is there a way of checking to see what version of cIOS I currently have installed?

rev9 has all features that rev6. 7 and 8 has. rev9 adds support for USB Loader which you can rip and boot games on a USB MAS Storage device. There may be some fixs as well in rev9 but the main advantage rev9 has is implementing USB Mass Storage.

Yes you need to have rev9 installed if you want to upgrade to System 4.0 and also to use usb loader 1.1

Did you not read that before updating to 4.0

You can update to 4.0 as long as you have cIOS36_rev6, 7, 8 or 9 installed. As long as you have 1 of those cIOS installed you can upgrade (my guide says don't follow the 4.0 update untill you have installed cIOS36_rev9 because if you have followed the guide you will be installing that).

As for a link for the cIOS36_rev9 file. If you redownload the pack at the beginning of the guide it now has cIOS36_rev9 file included.

I reorganized the guide once again. Hopefully it is more clear then what I had before. Feel free to give any suggestions that might make the guide more easier to understand (But I think it is pretty clear already).

You may have to refresh to get the new look.

Looks very clear, concise and easy to follow guide to me.
I can't see any faults with it or errors.

As always an outstanding guide larrylje!!!

You should know what cIOS you previously installed yourself.

What application are you using for the cIOS you currently have?
