I didn't get that menu the first time i tried either. That was because i was using 4gig mms....always use 1gig or 512gig mms then it shud work. Try putting the mms first then pandora and pandora first then mms.

i have created a pandora battery using and mms and installed 3.71M33, before i backed up the NAND but while doing this it said something like "bad flash block"... it did go through the whole backup.

Now after installing 3.71m33 but after the sony logo i only get a red background with a clock in the upper right hand corner, i could access the menu by cdepressing SELECT but it seems to freeze after that...

Brilliant guide. I used it with my own PSP and a datel pandora battery, worked first time, no problems. However, I did have problems with a friend's phat PSP, where when inserting the battery and the mms, the power light would come on but nothing would load from the memory stick. As it turns out, his 1gb sandisk card appears to be incompatible with the process, so I used the 2gb sony card from my psp and it worked just fine. I'm sure it's been reiterated many times in this thread, but if it doesn't work for you, try a different memory card.

The past few questions can be answered by reading trouble shooting or past post.

I followed it step by step.
First time my pc froze lol.
2nd time worked but my psp says " this game cannot be started, the data is corrupted."

This is my very first time messing with a psp.

I'm at the step where I am suppose to go into the game memory stick from the psp and run the pandora installer?

    But I can't.

    Am I missing something.

    Notes
    Fat PSP
Running software 5.01 if that helps any.

    Thanks in advance.

I know this is a mundane question for you pros though.

Ok thanks, missed the trouble shooting

    I'm assuming I need a different MS.

    What ones/brands work?

    I have the Sony brand
    memory tick PRODuo
    1gig magic gate

The MS is not the problem.

Read the Pandora Section for Offical Firmware.

I think you need to reread the " Creating a Pandora Battery"

It is divided into "3" Sections

Either your on 1.5 firmware, or have CFW, or you have Official Firmware"

If you have Official firmware and are following this guide, you only have "2" Options - either purchase a Datel Tool Battery or Converter.

I'm having problems creating a magic memory stick with the "Easy Installer". I followed the instructions to the letter but still having problems. No matter how many times I try the Easy Installer refuse to copy the necessary files to install cfw M33. I've used this method before with the exact same psp and memory stick and it worked flawlessly. So I'm completely baffled as to why its not working now. Last Time i did it was probably about 6 months ago. I'm trying to down grade my psp to a latter version of M33. I'm sure there are other methods of doing it but I felt comfortable knowing i could go back to official firmware with this program. Obviously now i cant because the App wont copy the files over to the memory stick. Can anyone help me get this working?

    I have PSP-2001 CFW 5.00M33-6

I have one official Sony memory stick that I have to do the mspformat.exe manually by placing that in my C:/ directory and using the cmd in windows xp.
Then the installer works great for me.
