I was looking through antennas such for wifi, and I dont understand the ratings, like wattage and dB ratings, and all the other junk that makes an antenna good or bad. [bold]BUT:[/bold] unless YOU know a lot about Radio Wave Propogation and the various arcane (black magic) techniques, it would take WAAYY too long to even attempt to give you a basic grounding in what those term really mean... Not for nothing does it take a lot of difficult study to pass the Amatuer Radio Exams.. WiFi equipment is sold with integral antennas for a number of reasons: FCC regulations Safety of equipment Safety other peoples equipment Ease of use etc. etc. Google is your friend IF you really want to learn...
