Ok well I bought a DVD player a couple of days ago and have yet to burn a DVD. It came with Nero OEM. I am using DVD-R discs. I am trying to burn an avi movie that I converted to DVD with WinAvi. The reason I didn't use nero vision is because it takes like 6 hours and the video played with pieces in the wrong spot. I asked in a chat room if this was normal and people told me to use WinAvi. In nero express when I try to burn the DVD I get the error "video reallocation failed file size is not multiple of a logical block size(2kb)". So I looked around for an answer and I ended up downloading IFOedit. I fixed the IFOs and I got a new error-BUP must match IFO. So I copied the IFOs and renamed them to BUPs. Then I ended up with the file reallocation error again. I tryed making new IFOs, and still got the reallocation error. If I ignore this error and burn anyway, the DVD does work, but it like freezes and then jumps a bit, and you can just hear the disc going crazy. When I tryed to burn it with WinAvi, the first time it worked, I played a few minutes of the movie in my home DVD player. When I tryed to watch it later it kind of messed with my DVD player, my DVD player came up with me having to put in a password that I never set for the DVD to play because the disc is unrated(didn't do this the first time). Found the password was 0000, played the disc. It stopped playing about 7 minutes in. I tryed to play it in my computer.. and it said there was nothing on the disc! I actually could burn on the disc again.. which makes no sense because I saw that 7 minutes. Now when I try to use WinAvi it says burn successful and the DVD is blank.
Here is the error in my Nero history log.

    Hello.

First delete yuor Nero serial number from your post. It begins 1A.... Click the paper/pencil icon in the upper right of your post to enter edit mode.

Your DVD burner seems to have slipped from DMA tranfer mode to the slower PIO mode. Follow thw guides below to reset the DMA transfer mode.

The above is a Roxio driver than can conflict with Nero. It is recommended that you uninstall any Roxio software like Easy CD Creator, etc. and run the Roxio Zapper. Run the Roxio Zapper even if you find no Roxio software installed as other programs sometime install it as well.

With this little memory, problems often result.

I think WinAVI is outputing a bad conversion. I don't use it because I've always found it a little buggy. It could be the source file is corrrupted in some way as well. I don't think you have enough memory to really run NeroVision Express which is why it takes so long with memory paging/virtual memory in use.

You might try ConvertXtoDVD. It has a trial version that watermarks its output. There are others as well. For example:
