    Dear All,

Hello! I have been having problems trying to burn DVDs for a few months now. I'm using Nero 6. I tried a new burner- a Phillips DVD burnera- and it was okay for a while. Then the problem started again: on some attempts the burn failed within the first minute.I used a lens cleaner which seemed to help a little, but then the problem started again. Some of my attempts were successful using a Panasonic DVD-R disc, so I've been using those discs. Today I burned a Panasonic DVD-R disc, then tried another, and had my old problem again of the burn failing within the first minute.

Here is the log for the burn:

Can anyone help? I've tried contacting Nero in May and they haven't got back to me. I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

You need to edit out your SN, you would not want anyone to borrow it.

Try burning at a slower rate, half the recommended speed is best, 8x.

Free up some memory, you have none for the program to use. No multi-tasking, internet surfing and close down all unnecessary programs.

You can try going back to the older version, it worked better than this one. You can use the Nero Clean Tool and then reinstall if you want.
