So my family purchased a "Dell" after my little brother and sister trashed my beloved gaming pc. When I boot my PC I come to my Asus logo and shortly after I come to a screen that tells me that there is "no drive attatched to the fastrak controller, the bios is not installed". Then after that I run into "Disk Rear Error Control+Alt+Delete to restart".

Ok so I have a feeling that my hard drive is gone. It makes a clicking noise when booting. If I punk it around some it doesn't make the clicking noise anymore, but I still have reason to believe it's completely gone. As for the fastrak thing, i've received this message before and the computer ran fine. I'm just trying to get this thing running again so I can start upgrading this old school bad boy.

Oh and I forgot to mention....

-My father, for some DAMN reason decided to unplug the huge fan in the back because it was too "noisy".
-The pc began to shut off by itself. When I turned it on and left it alone or did little to no activity the pc would be fine. Whenever I did something like run Adaware, AVG, or any other type of scanning program the pc would automatically shut off.

And of course now i am at the above post

I went into what i think is the BIOS. It said press f2 for bios and i did. I came to some screen and here are some of the things i saw

    512mb ok
usb devices: 1 keyboard 2 devices
    Autodetect Primaster Atapi-Cd-Rom
    Autodetect Primaster Atapi-Cd-Rom
Autodetect Primaster Atapi ide hard disk

    Primaster Generic Dvd-rw

3rd master hard disk: smart status bad backup and replace

I hope all it is, is the hard drive that i have to replace.

Loud clicking noises are hard disk problems, replace the HDD.
As for the PC shutting down, if the fan at the back was the only case fan, I can imagine it probably would shut down. Either reinstate it or get a quieter fan (though if your case only has one fan slot and there's concern about noise, you may want to get a new case at some stage)

The Fastrack controller is the onboard Promise "slot". If you have nothing attached to it, you can disable it in the BIOS. It will speed up your bootup time, when you find out what may be wrong with your hard drive.
