For me I would uninstall that google toolbar. Upgrade Internet explorer so that you get that option when you close a browser and it will ask you.

    Hi there :)

Run hjt and paste it's log into the box on it's website and click the "analyze" button. Here's the link http://www.hijackthis.de/

Also download ad-aware and spybot S&D and update and run them.

Another good spyware remover I use is Xoftspy SE. I don't know wheather you can download a trial of that......

Personally I do a bit of torrenting *Cough*

    Good luck

Did you run ad-aware and spybot?

Can u get hold of that xoftspy ?

Best thing you can do is at the start of the "Virus" thread, read the stickys and download all the anti-virus/spyware removers that are listed. Update them and run them and then run hjt again.

Make sure after you run all the anti virus/spyware removers, you restart your pc and then run hjt and analyze it again.

    Good luck

xoftspy is well known malware. google it and find how to remove it, then ditch IE and install firefox or opera and be free of 90% of the crap malware.

I disagree with you bigtime....I've been using Xoftspy for years now and it's great. The latest version is Xoftspy SE.

Another good spyware remover is "SuperAntiSpyware", it gets rid of nearly every type of crappy malware and spyware but once again it'll cost you...unless your familiar with torrents.

I use 4 types of protection on my pc and it's clean as a whistle.

I use Trend Micro anti-virus/firewall also Xoftspy Se, ad-aware professional and spybot S&D.

Ofcourse I've come across spyware and virus from time to time but that conbination has served me well :)
