I have a few questions to ask. I just got an xbox with a samsung dvd drive and am wondering what things do I need to buy in order to soft mod my xbox? Also Im wondering after I soft mod my xbox will I be able to take out the hard drive and put a newer one in. will it allow me to put games or downloaded games off the internet on to the hard drive, and will it also let me install emulators? Is there any difference between soft modding and modding an xbox with a modchip? Thanks for all your help
That depends on what you already have but as a whole you'll probably need: *Game save exploits *007 Agent Under Fire, Mech Assault, or Splinter Cell (the games must be original and not Platinum Edition games) *Action Replay *Memory Card *Xbox *FTP Capability: either though crossover cable (direct) or via a router There is a link to my tutorial in my signature below that should help you get started. Yes but you're asking a lot to be explained in one thread. [bold]ESPECIALLY[/bold] since ALL of the topics have been covered numerous times throughout the site. You're gonna have to take a little initiative. Not being mean, just telling it like it is. The search bar in AfterDawn is your best friend when you need solutions. Changing the hdd for a larger one can be quite a process for "newbies", no pun intended", softmod the box first...it's a part of the process anyways. Yes...the bigger the hdd, the more you can do with it and add to it. Yes. Softmod is by way of game save exploit. Mod Chip is exactly what it's name is. Modification by a chip but some of the softmod steps are a part of the mod chip process. Ultimately, the mod chip is easier and more stable.
