    Dear dxtreme,

    1) Save all the dvd movies on harddisk, each under a separate folder

    2) Run Nero Recode, click 'remake a dvd', 'import titles', then go to and highlight the 'Video_TS' folder of each respective dvd movie, 'add' the titles to the compilation window, click 'finish' when done, and follow from there.

    Happy DVD authoring!

DVD Shrink does the same and is free, in case you don't have Nero Recode. Divxtodvd to convert to DVD format, DVD Shrink will compile them and compress as necessary. I will warn you though, most avi files aren't that good of quality to begin with, so compressing will be very noticeable.
