please help me anyone about fans

    hi there, is there anyone out there that can name me a program to use on my computer which can control the rpm of the fans in my pc. to make it cooler. im using a intel pentium 4 ht. if anyone can help me i would be thankful. thanks alot anyone.

    update: i found one called speedfan but it doesnt work. is there any other programs

    unless you have an actual physical fan controller hardware unit, the only fan you would be able to control would be the heatsink fan on the processor, and that's only if it's plugged into the mobo. all the other fans are just plugged directly into the power supply.

    these fans run at their optimal speed at all times; a hardware controller (normally place in an empty 5.25 inch bay) will let you slow the fans down to run quieter, but not really speed them up.

    if you want more cooling, you need more fans (and probably a better power supply). get a controller while you're at it, so you can keep the fans quiet for typical stuff, then turn them up when the compie is under heavy load.
