please help me backup the sims 2

I have read a lot of the thead and i still can not get it
i tried clone cd and i burned it a 1x with the cd-r hide on still get the message (please insert disk) the copied disk is in the burner drive .. i have tried alcohol %120 and that dont work.. i just can not get it i have wasted about 15 cd now... i have a 11 year old that plays the game and with the price of the game i dont want the disk broken.... well if i keep going i will have more money in disks then the game .... any help would be great

Ok i am new here at this and i am getting now where i have tryed blindwrite 5 and still the same thing i am just doing something wrong i know it..

 

well i am still trying ... here is another ? do you have to have the full version of clonecd to be able to change the read or burn speed when i make my copy of the disk i dont get many optons
please help

 

i am still trying everything now i bought a second set of disks just so we have them but i would still ike to know how to copy it. it is driving me crazy because i can not get it to work right

i do own it. i own two copys now but if it is said that it can be copyed then i will noy quit ontill i now how... does the expansion packs work the same way because i am just about ready to buy one..and i have two kids that play this game they alway need to play it at the sametime....

 

its a long time cosuming process
but it is easy to explain the hard part comes when it goes to what burn program you use

 

what program do i use i have tried just about all of them and do i need to buy the software or is the trial version ok to us for now.

me i have been using the copy and paste method going from origanil cd to hard drive then copyin and pasting the files from hard drive to the drag and drop cdr folder

 

have you burned a copy of the sims 2 i will try it like that but i think it will still tell me to insert the sims 2 disk even if the copy is in the drive

well i guess know one can burn a copy of the sims 2 well at least i can not ... i have tried everything ....thank you to the ONE person on this site that at least tried to help
