please help me out with conversion

    hey poeple i really need help with a little problem i ran into:

    its that i saved a target from a web site and this targets are MPEG audio files and i really want to put them on a audio cd so that i can listen to on cd player than besides my computer: if some1 can help me out with the conversion MPEG to MP3, WMA, or whatever it is, please list a site where i can get a program, or help me out

    Try this: rename to .mp3 (= change extesion manually).

    where do i rename? do u mean the file name : happy then to happy.mp3 ??

    i tried and it stays the same when i rename it from the folder>file>rename doesnt work when i put the extension to the song name

    In explorer rightclick on file -> Properties:
    Uncheck Writeprotected if checked (don't know what it is exactly in English Windows)
    Change name from blah.MPEG to blah.mp3

    Another idea: Obviously you can play back the MPEG files (using Windows Media Player I guess). Have a look at properties to find out what decoder is used. If it's some mp3 decoder renaming to .mp3 should work, otherwise maybe mp2 or something else according to the decoder displayed.
