Please help me out with some stuff

    OK so I used a program on my mac called GarageBand to edit some mp3 off iTunes, but now it's 3x as big, and too big for what I want it for, I've never compressed any mp3s before so don't know how to go abouts it, and don't want to mess up all my work, also it needs to stay in a music format.

    So what free program can I download that will keep the music format, but compress it?
