hi 1st timer here be gentle. i have just signed up to sky with there netgear dg934g router. i use azureus quite a lot. i cannot get any green smiley faces and the download speeds are painfully low. 20 kbps. i run a speed test and i get 6.5 meg??!! is there some sort of wizard out there who has had similar problems that can possibly help me??i have seen utube videos and read tutorials and i'm still stumped! it cant be just me out there with this problem guys and girls so please share the info? please please please! thanks in anticipation. matt.
HERE is detailed guide dedicated to YOUR router and CLIENT . This is the same set of guides I used, and have never looked back. Needles to say, follow the instructions to the letter. The next "problem" is Obsfurcation...... yep it's a word that fits in a wheelbarrow, it simply means "to protecting/hide the UPPING and DOWNING of files from your internet service provider". Some providers monitor such activities and can and will throttle the speeds you are provided with. Often you may recieve a notice to "cease and decist". My suggestion would be to get PeerGuardian 2 then use AfterDawns GUIDES to help out with the what to do stuff, for both programs. See how you go, and post back if you need more help. Cheers.
