Try some different media if you can, something better like Verbatim, MIJ Sony, Fuji or Maxell. The disks listed are 16x write speed and I think your burner is having a hard time with them. Your burner is an older model Sony and the last update for fw is the one you have which is almost 2 yrs old. Your drive just is not recognizing this new media.
you seem to have an issue with free memory.Well the lack of, you need to free some up by closing down all application not needed to be run while you attempt to burn.Dont surf the net just let the process do its thing.Really use need to get another sim of 256 meg of ram but some people have money issues Although it says successfully burn can you see evidence of the disc being burnt underneath
yah i can see the disc is burn underneath but when i put it on my dvd i can explore it i mean there is nothing
hi guys stumbled on this thread. one off the drives in my rig happens to be Sony DW-UI8A firm UYS1 so out of curiosity i just burned war of the worlds with it. on a Verb MCC004 16x no prob, it did limit the burn speed to 4x even though decrypter is set at 8x. so don't think that can be the prob, unless the laser is getting a tad weak
