thanksyou Jurppis, but it didn't work...... i did what u told me, i closed all my windows, scanned the computer with hijackthis, checked the four files and clicked 'fix checked' when i did that, then there'a a confirmation window saying if i really want to do it, i clicked yes then i think it deleted them cause there isn't a window saying that it all has been deleted. so i just rebooted my computer, changed the homepage in the control panel without opening the IE to 'use blank' then i opened IE and there it was. back where i started. then i opened hijackthis and scan it again, and th e files are still there!!!! AHHHHH HELP!!!!! hakuron
Okay, you need to disable Ad-Watch, because it may hinder the removal of these entries. Open AdAware SE. Go to AdWatch User Interface. Go to Tools and Preferences. At the bottom of the screen you will see 2 options Active and Automatic. Active: This will turn Ad-Watch On\Off without closing it. Automatic: Suspicious activity will be blocked automatically. Uncheck both options. You can enable these after resolving your problem. Then boot to Safe mode (tap the F8 button on boot) There make sure that Ad Watch is disabled and Fix these again in safe mode with HijackThis: R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://www.dell.ca/myway R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.dell.ca/myway R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://www.dell.ca/myway R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.dell.ca/myway And then go back to normal mode and restore ad watch and try if you can change your homepage

Here is some better instructions how to boot to safe mode http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...420406?OpenDocument&ExpandSection=3#_Section3
thanks man! now i can change my homepage! lolz but just out of curiousity, why is the 3 files still there when i scan it again? is it because i changed the windows bakc to normal mode? cause when i switched it back to normal mode from safe mode, a window popped up saying that i made changes in window so it will pop tis window out everytime i start the computer unless i go back to msconfig. and check the normal mode button. thank you so much!!
