Ok i want to swap a new hard drive with my old one because it doesnt work my sister stepped on my xbox while it was on and now the hard drive makes a wierd noise and doesnt work. So i want to put in a different hard drive my xbox is not modded what so ever and i did not have anything from my previous hard drive backed up including the eeprom so is there any way i could replace the hard drive? Help would be greatly appreciated thank you.
only way is to mod the xbox. I would recommend Xecuter 3 CE. Then you can put any hard drive you what into your xbox. You do not have to copy anything off the old hard drive. just copy the evolution dashboard or avalanche dashboard ahd off you go. You can also copy your original games on this hard drive and store the original discs for protection. I have posted step-by-step on how to install the x3 chip. cheers
