Hey, i have an xbox and it is has a chip, im not sure what chip it has but i have just got a copy of AID but yet to install anything off of it but my xbox does read it. I have no idea if there is a dash on my xbox already or what not
If it helps i already have the xbox open, and my 80gb hdd has just been emptied and its ready to be put in, Do i need to do anything to the hard drive before i put it in? like does it need to be formatted a certain way. also just wanted to know if i need to save any information off the hdd that is standard in the xbox or just take it straight out. i dont know how to FTP or anything like that. But if i take the original hdd out and put my 80gb hdd in with the AID disc in the rom is that all i need? will it still load up if i have a blank hdd in it?

Cool i thought it would be ok. but i also thought maybe i would need to format the hdd and install something on it before it went in to the hdd, so all i have right now is a hdd that i have deleted all my data off. it hasnt been formatted at all. so thats it?
