I need some help i have windows XP and my screen is all black and says at the bottom in white text that I Have spyware/adware on my computer and will harm my PC...in cant get on to the internet i cant even get into my documents...all there is are things popping up on my screen that I dont even know what they are. How do I solve this problem. TiaMarie!!!
Ok you got infections on your pc, but you need to get some tools so we can clean you... Try to get a copy of HijackThis to your pc and post the log to here -> http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/263784 Then try to get a copy of smitfraudfix to your pc -> http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip Unzip it (folder named SmitFraudFix) to your desktop: Open the folder SmitfraudFix and doubleclick smitfraudfix.cmd Choose option #1 - Search by typing 1 and pressing "Enter"; a textfile opens and lists the infected files (if those exist) Post the contents of this textfile to here. (Some antiviruses recognises process.exe as a malware. It is not malware, it is a program that stops processes) Then post these log to here, a HijackThis log and a Smitfraudfix log. Do you a have another computer or from where are you posting to here?
