Im Getting Xbox Live and My Xbox is Modded. I hav evox on my xbox. If i play halo 2 am i going 2 get kicked from all live games or just matchmaking on halo 2? is there a way of playing matchmaking with a modded xbox? Is it possible 2 go back 2 just the microsoft dashboard and get rid of the soft mod? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
do you have it hardmodded or softmodded? if its softmodded you can restore the ms dash and maybe they wont notcie but youll have to remod it when your done
my xbox is softmodded and to restore the ms dash wat do i do? ive heard restoring will screw it up... help if you can, also ive read that if you just start the xbox with the game in and skip the dashboard they cant detect a softmod also on live i dont plan on using mods i just want to play without them so ill use non modded maps and to hav fun with my frined maybe modded maps on custom games
well i restored my old hardrive......becuase i put a new one in and it didnt screw up......but if htats the case and you wanna risk it you have to get back in the installer program that sofmodded it for you and restore....im afrain i can only help you if your using Sofmod Installer Deluxe 3.The reason Xbox live bans you is becuase you running a game from a different dashboard so you should be able to fool em.....or you could get SID 4....i dunno if it was my copy but i ran out of ms dash and still played backups....the only way i could get to evox was putting a dvd movie....but if you have SID 3 and wanna try ill see if i can help.....also it would help if you you backed up you xbox c and e drive to your comp before attempting this
so u restored be4 using softmod installer deluxe 3? thats wat i used for splinter cell. so to restore all i hav 2 do is backup to the comp real quick and then turn the xbox on with the disc tray out and let the installer dash load and press A on restore dashboard? will it work and will live work? also if i restore will the mods still be there? im not restoring because i screwed it up im restoring because i want to play live... also u said after u restored u could still access the evox with a dvd? help me a lil bit more and this would prolly go smoother if we talked directly... do u hav yahoo or msn messenger?
ok...heres the routine....The back is for incase it doesnt work you can rebuild the hardrive.....Xbox live should work when you unmod becuase i believe it checks the dashboard...and Softmod installer 4 mysteriously hacks the original ms dash( but i would recomend using it, microsoft might still check...i dont know)the thing with that is that with sid4 you could only get to evox or unleash by putting a dvd a movie....very odd...OR you could just get Xlink Kai or XBconnect becuse it free....but that easy to connect...well for me anyways....oh and i dont have any instant messengers because i think they are the work of satan!lol but if you do mess up tell me and ill tell you how to rebuild the hardrive!
thanx man ill try undoing the mod wen i get xbox live but for now im gonna leave it alone cause i got like 30+ burned games and only like 10 store bought so im gonna play the burnt ones for now and wen i get live and the router and all the cords ill hook up xbox live and undo the mods. but wat if i put in the game turn off the xbox turn it back on and play the game without ever going to the dashboard can they still detect it?
when you back it up you can reformat the xbox hardrive on the pc....a bit techinical but we'll get into it if you needed
no but it just makes sense to me becuase all they do is check your dashboard......yeah mines softmodded
