    Once you decrypt, shrink, burn, I would like to get rid of the DVD file on my computer since I have several DVD-R copies. My computer is saying the file is in use. I have closed out all programs. Help.

    I have had this problem in the past with encoded files and a simple reboot usually fixed it. You could also open Task Manager and see if anything there is taking excessive amounts of CPU. In my case, it was IE Explore.exe. Deleting and replacing it seemed to allow the file to be deleted. Going to Safe Mode may work, too.

    Thanks for your help, I hope a simple reboot is the answer.

    when shrink does it's thing the vob files are saved to a folder and you should delete the files after you are done with your burning, also just rebooting will not remove the files you have to do that your self, just make sure that you know where the files are save to so that you know where to go to get the files to remove them. hope that helps happy burning good luck have a nice day

    You're right; I should have stated that clearer. Just rebooting won't remove anything but it did make it so that the file in use message was no longer received when I tried to delete the file and then it could be deleted. Edit: I'm wrong again. There are at least some instances where a reboot will allow Windows to stop whatever program is running and remove the file while rebooting. However, you must have attempted to delete the file and failed prior to the reboot.

    Thanks for all the help. The problem seemed to be a Windows Xp glitch that was causing the file to lock without access. I found an unlocker program that has worked wonders.

    @Shan608

    What is the name of the unlocker program and where can we get it.

    Sounds like it will be useful.

    Unlocker 1.8.5 is the program. I have found that Windows XP can really be a pain in the butt. This program will unlock files when all other routes have been tried and unsucessful.
