Hi. I have Nero 7.5.1.1 and when ever I try to burn a dvd that has more than 3 hours for a title the current progess bar fills up and the total progress bar goes underneath where it says 0 hours 23 seconds. I've tried to sit their and let it finish but when it does and I put it in my dvd player it only burned the first two seconds. The file im trying to burn is the first fifteen episodes of the Baby saga of Dragonball gt if thats any help.
First, uninstall 7.5.1.1 and use the Nero 7 Clean Tool from the Nero site. Locate a copy of Nero 7.0.8.2 and install that. 7.0.8.2 is the onlt really stable version of Nero 7 so far. Also, be sure that always use quality DVD media. If it's made in Japan, it's good stuff. The one exception to that is Verbatim, which is also good. Stay away from everything else.
@Dunker, According to binkie7, the latest 2 versions of Nero7...7.2.7.0 and 7.5.1.1 are both good versions and are NOT causing any apparent problems, I have not yet changed from 7.0.8.2
I saw her post too. I guess it's a case of how Your Mileage May Vary, but there have been a large number of complaints about 7.5.1.1 and, to a lesser extent, 7.2.7.0. My logic is that I don't fix what ain't broken, at least not unless there is a major, compelling reason to upgrade, and I recommend whatever product or version which seems be giving the fewest hassles.
help!! how do i clear the cache in Nero ? No 1 son has movies n mps but we can burn anymore until we clear it
Cache? What exactly are you trying to do? If you've run out of disk space, delete any files with an NRG extension of you think those are files of movies you've saved.
cache - thats what nero say's when i try to burn a movie when i investagate closer it says virtual memory - i have found that in tools options etc but it does nothing when i try to clear it i think i should deleate nero & start again thanks
If you do, make sure to run the Cleantool from Nero's site: http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero_6_CleanTool.html Select the appropriate version(s) you want to completely clean out and download the appropriate tools. *HOWEVER* virtual memory is more serious. It's the sum of available RAM memory on your computer combined with a certain amount of disk space set aside. If it's low, it means either any combo of the following: 1. you don't have enough RAM memory installed; 2. you don't have enough disk space set aside for VM; 3. you have too many background programs running - often these are malware or undesirable junk. Printers like to install 3-4 drivers and updaters running in the background, none of which are necessary for the functioning of the printer. If the reinstallation doesn't help, you might want to post a Nero log (located in c:\program files\nero\nero 7\core\nerohistory.log) and also download a program called HijackThis! and scacn your computer and post a log of what it reveals.
