    Hi all,

Just got starview 4, I have mmds ariel installed (Athenry, Galway).
Here's what Ive done so far

    1. Plugged in starview tonight for first time.
    2. Loaded firmware from usb (TheboxSuperUSB_V1.02_beta.BIN)
    3. Did an automatic scan (NTL), came up "no new channels found"
    4. Entered 1570 - took me into cas system, not sure what to do here so did nothing.

If I plug back in the org UPC DVR, and do a network scan, I get a signal strength of about 70%, signal quality of 100% and it finds 93 TV channels and 35 music channels.

Can anyone please take me through getting the starview to work (in simple step by step terms)

    Many thnaks

    ok,

I've now managed to find all the channels. (I was plugging mmds ariel lead straight into starview "antenna in" slot, but now I have got back out the upc adapter, plugged th eantenna cable into that, then plugged cable from that into "cable in" slot in back of starview. That immediately gave me a signal found and once i did auto scan, it found around 93 channels)

But now what, I have uploaded the firmware update. but when I press 1570, it loads a secret menu but theres no "emu" option (the online instructions tell us to highlight emu and press ok but how can i do that if it aint there). All I can see in the secret cas system is

    nagravision
    set default key
    keycode (off)

Can anyone please tell me what to do next

can I ask one more question.

Wht cant I simply plug ariel lead into back of starview "antenna in" port ?

It wont work unless I use the ac adapter kit from the org upc installation. Why do I need the ac adapter from the org upc kit ? What wud happen if I didnt have that kit in the first place ?

@ Des I have woke up beside worse :)

@ gt N** MMDS works with standard DVB C boxes, (cable variant). Presumption is you have a working MMDS set up.

Have you flashed/loaded it yourself with firmware.? via USB stick, should be v1.02.

Cheers yes flashed today with 1.02 and all working as\well as emu, just confused with it having later version on, m1.03 must be FTA software

That is correct FTA only that's the reason you could not access Menu to turn keycode on, glad you are now sorted and have a good time :) lol

Shouldn't be asking for a password for the Menu, that's strange! but try 1668.

I've got a sv4 and have just moved into an apartment. There is an MMDS antenna (probably ch*r*us) on the roof, and i'm able to pick up only one channel (utv) through the tv. There's an antenna cable coming from the wall into the back of the tv.

What do i need to do to get the sv4 to pick up the channels? Any ideas... is it possible?
