I had this working fine then all the sudden if i try to use nero vision to record an avi to dvd so it playes in a regular dvd player it does not want to let me "add video files". I noticed that it does work with .mpegs though. It says "unable to insert bla bla bla c:\.." and the location. Has someone seen this before and if so please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks, Sebastian
Make sure you are using Nero Vision. Only Nero Vision can put AVI files in a DVD (if encodes them as MPEG). If you are using plain nero it will not burn avi files because they are not formatted (encoded) as mpeg.
In the question it says I'm using nero vision. That much I know the problem is for some reason it does not want to recode the avi in fact it does not even let me "add" an avi to the bin. (Before it would add it and recode it then burn it)
Hmm, is it updated? Does it try to analyze the file or just dismiss it immediatly? You could do what I do and just use another program to encode it, although it will never work the way you want it too.
It dismisses it on the spot. That the strange thing. Though if its a .mpeg it does accept it as a "selected or added" file. It did not do this before, for some reason it does it now. Before when it was just the trial it did the avi with no problem after i bought the key and installed it this now happends. Its updated and there are no simple answers to this one. I need help from a pro. Thanks, Sebastian
