1. Insert a non accepted sim, most times it will show "Phone Restricted"
2. Press the UNDO option
3. You should see a box that says enter restriction code.
4. Enter the code given and then press (OK)

it said phone was not restricted what does that mean

 

It means it is already unlocked!

 

wont accept my o2 sim card tho keeps say sim registration failed

 

If the message was "Sim Card Registration Failed", you need an activated sim card. A new one!!

 

the o2 sim has just come out the packet tho brand new so it has got me stumped lol

 

Have you registered the O2 sim?

 

no m8 didnt think i had to register it just yet is that what the problem is lol im not very technical you see i just no how to ring out or sent texts lol

theres no signal either to phone o2 up to register the card it has realy got my head battered now lol

Set the mobile to automatic selection (if it's not already) to search for the O2 network.

 

where do you do that tho as i dont have a manual for it i got the phone given off a frend just phone and charger

 

I do not own a 6230 but try this goto settings find network services and set to automatic.

 

says no network acces when i go on o2 uk or when i go on automatic it says sim card registration failed just dont think it wants o2 sim in it lol

 

I'm at a loss mate. The only thing I can suggest is buying a new O2 sim, or try one of your mates (if they have an O2 sim). Sorry
