ok i just got two dvds, there region 1 same as my dvd player but they don't play i don't see the picture, like i hear the sound great, but no pic, put it in and there is a menu but can't see it anway i press play and same thing it starts playing the movie but no picture, just he deafault dvd logo
If you bought the DvDs from a retail company then it may just be bad luck of the draw. Take 'em back and exchange for new copies.
well the guy i got them from said they worked on all three of his dvds, like everything seems to be normal my dvd reads it as a dvd, but just does not change from the deafult dvd logo, but yet i can hear it completly normal but no pic, anyone know ill double check all the cords stuff but im sure its not that
what do you mean preview he just said he put them in his dvd player's to make sure they were good, and they were he said, i have a region 1 dvd player its a DV-D311 digital dvd player and its a region 1 and the actual dvd i used says its a well im read it right off the dvd dvd-r recordable, then it has a dvd logo and then it says r right under it then R4.7 if that means anything, maybe a burned dvd copie or something
When I say "preview", did he play the dvd's on a dvd player (connected to a tv set) and you were able to watch the movies he wanted to sell you. Or did you buy them without testing to see if they were actually working? Live and learn, I guess.
no he just emailed me saying they were ok but told me i can send them back and get two new ones maybe ill do that
Regardless of what he says. Put another DVD in and play it, if it works, then you have proven your player END! no arguements from him. Put them back in and now see if it happens again, also try them on your PC DVD drive if possible. Chances are you have got some duff discs. Ask why any retailer would actually take the time to check any DVD's he was selling on 3 different players unless he was testing for an anticipated fault. Ands as for testing anyway, the likelyhood of him really testing these 3 specific discs is very small, his other copies may well play but the ones you have don't. Also can't say I've ever rx'd a disc from a proper retailer without the cellophane, there is no reason to remove it unless someone is trying a fast one and selling off something they have bought to burn and sell on (I mean test is okay!) If the cellophane was still on, then how the hell he he test them?
What webhedreg is trying to tell you is: You may have heard that some pple lie, well, you just met one. When you buy from a shyster expect to be taken to the cleaners. If you don't get your $$$ back, consider it the cost of learning and download your own movies OR deal with a retail store so you know where to find them when things turn sour. Remember, it could have cost you much, much more. You might have purchased a 45" LCD TV off the "back of the truck" only to find out when you arrived home that you just cannot play 2 bricks well at all ) Some lessons cost more is what I'm saying and we all have been burnt at one time or another. It's how we learned. Cheers, Pete
so anyway bottom line beofre i send them back anything any of you guy know what could possibly be the problem , like i said everything is 100% fine as far as hook ups and checked everything like 10 times, only thing is that the default dvd logo stays on but yet i can hear it, no actual pic of the movie anything i can possibly do
