I've had my 30g ipod video for awhile now, and everything worked out fine except now.
Now for some reason, when i sync my ipod with a new video it goes on my ipod properly but when i click to play it, it goes black for about 10 seconds and then returns to the menu. it's weird because it just doesn't play it stays at 00:00. i've tried everything, and it is converted properly and everything.
the weird thing is, is that it plays on itunes so it should work.
i've always had these type of videos and it never had a problem..till now.
if you can help, please !
it will be greatly appreciated :)
    thankss(L).

This has happened to me also. My 30g ipod is nearly 2 years old now and only recently (in the last month) started playing up. When I'm playing music on shuffle the videos are in there with the music but do not play. Instead there is the title of the video and a still picture of the vid as the album art and it just skips to the next song. I've had my ipod plugged into 2 different computers in the past week so this hasn't helped. Does anyone know what to do? I don't want to have to restore my ipod.

ipod has screen size limits when deciding whether it should play a video, itunes does not.

I'm pretty sure that is what it will be.

try the most basic the audio settings can also make a difference.

I just use 128kbps audio and the basic standard video option, I cant check exact settings as Im on a different station.

I don't think it has anything to do with (well in my case anyway) the screen size and audio settings because I haven't added any new videos to my ipod in ages. The videos that don't work anymore were previously working fine. I don't know, maybe my ipod's just getting too old now.
