this is the second time i'm fixing my wifes cousins computer. ok heres the thing. the first time i fixed her computer she had a problem with her computer being slow so i got rid of spyware and viruses and everything was fine i returned it to her. she got it home and plugged it in and it didn;t even turn on , no lights or anything. i took it back, took everything apartthinking it was the power supply. i reset the cpu took memory out (everything) and it worked. gave it back shes happy. 3 months later the same problem with the computer being slow gave it back to me fixed it. turned it on later that day after taking out the plug cause its the same plug i use for my computer and no lights no nothing. i checked the psu on another computer and it works. i find it wierd that this only happends when she gives it to me and she doesn't have the power problem when its at her house. What the heck is goin on? could it be the on/off switch? or the mother board going? any help would be appriciated. thanks

It sounds like something is loose. Maybe when you are transporting it knocks something loose and thus the pc cant start. Make sure everything is tight and if you have to use zippy ties to tie it together so it dont come loose:>

Also make sure that is nothing touching the back of the M/B to the case.

Could just be a tempermental psu as well. Does the pc ever get shut down at your cousins house, or does it run all the time? If its always on at her house, they may not experience the same problem as you do, being that they never cold boot it. Just my $.02.
