I converted mp4 to avi but I lost audio. Same with vob to avi. The new avi files do not play with windows media player or e-matic mp3 video player (after I converted to mtv) but they do play with vlc. I think ematic only plays .mtv video files. It (ematic) came with a converter but it often says "load video failed" with any media type not avi, and then tells me to download codec but I already installed klcodec. I used Next Video Converter to convert mp4 to avi and vob to avi but I lost audio on both. Anybody know a better (free) media converter to .mtv or how to avoid losing audio when converting to avi? thanks
when converting to avi, why does the audio only play in vlc player? Can I change it so it plays in everything I try?
Know little of audio, maybe a codec needed. Try checking the avi in GSpot to see if you have the codec needed to play audio and if not, it will show the one you need (lower left): http://www.headbands.com/gspot/v26x/index.htm
