Hi, I have Nero 6303 or 6605, not exactly sure but could someone explain to me like I'm 7 years old how after editing music tracks in the Nero wave editor to save them as MP3 format and not WMA? When I try to save as MP3 is doesn't allow me to do it. I'm not sure if I need another key gen or some simple software download or plugin. Any simple explanation would be very much appreciated. If it helps, the Nero software I have was sent to me over AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) and he also sent me the key gen to get it started. I have a Sony VAIO laptop with XP. I record CD's on a CD recorder straight from the satellite and then I seperate the tracks on the laptop when the CD is complete. I know how to do the tracks and save them, I just don't know why they won't save in MP3 format. It acts like since I didn't purchase the software that I'm not allowed to use the MP3 saving functions. Hope I didn't confuse anyone with this.
You probably will need another serial number to be able to save in MP3 format. When I purchased my Nero 6 Ultra, way back, the function was not available although I had paid for it. Nero had to send me another serial number to unluck that feature for the Power Pack Lame MP3 plugin which comes with the Ultra. If you want to save in the Pro MP3 format which is supposedly better you have to purchase that plugin for 20.00 through Nero.
Thank you for the costly response That's what I was trying to use was the MP3 pro and it wouldn't allow me to use it. Since I didn't purchase the Nero I have, they probably wouldn't give me the plugin if I paid for it but either way, $20.00 is kinda steep for a plugin. I guess I'll continue to save in WMA format, burn the CD's with WMP on WMA format and then I can put them back in using WMP in MP3 format. It's a lot of work but worth it in some cases when the satellite plays some songs that aren't even out yet. Thanks again for the response!!
