What are the files that you burned to the cd, these files may not lie within the dvd standards, so although you have burned it to dvd, and the data is there, it may not be recognised as a valid dvd compilation for the standalone to play it. List the files here of what is on your cd, they may just need converting to the correct compliancy or even just lumping into a VIDEO_TS folder. We need to know what files you are using?
hi there as stated above need tons more info file types as mentioned and the whole process from start to finish and what apps were used!!! everything plus the kitchen sink please....
thanks for all the help so far, heres what i can tell u about the movie i tried to copy the audio format value is MPEG layer -3 the video compression value is DivX codec.. when i put the cd i originally copied it to inside a computer it just shows up as the movie when i go 2 it, it doesn't show any files, just the name of the movie, it pplays, but only on computers, it's a data disc... I just tried the dvd in my computer and it doesn't play, it showed the name of the movie but it wouldn't open and play it thanks again
@whiteboyg ..it won't play in a standalone player, just a PC as you've done a data dvd copy, ie just put a file on a data dvd. You first need to convert it to dvd-video format. Then you can burn using Nero or your program of choice. Here's something i use myself (there are others out there) - you can download a trial version of it here - http://www.winavi.com/WinAVI_Video_Converter.exe
